Oil based transformer uses insulating oil as insulation and cooling medium to realize voltage conversion through electromagnetic induction.
It consists of iron core, windings, insulating oil and tank. Excellent heat dissipation enables larger capacity and stronger overload capability. This series includes conventional oil immersed type and hermetically sealed oil filled transformer.

Oil-immersed transformers have their coil cores sealed in an oil tank filled with oil. They are suitable for outdoor use, but oil can burn and explode. They are resistant to pollution and cannot be installed inside buildings. They must be
more than 5 meters away from residents. If installed indoors, they must be in a separate electrical room, and no one should live within 5 meters of them.

Quality Control
All finished transformers go through mandatory factory routine tests one by one before delivery.
No-load test: Detect idle power loss and idle current value of the unit
Load test: Check load loss and short-circuit impedance data under rated load
Dielectric withstand test: Verify main insulation performance between high-low voltage windings and tank ground
Induced voltage test: Inspect inter-turn and inter-layer longitudinal insulation, run at double voltage & double frequency
Insulation resistance test: Use megohmmeter to measure insulation resistance of HV winding, LV winding and ground
DC winding resistance test: Measure DC resistance of each tap section on high and low voltage coils
Transformation ratio & vector group test: Calibrate voltage transformation ratio and check winding connection mode
Partial discharge test: This test item is only required for dry-type transformers
Oil tightness test: Fill the tank with protective gas and stand for 24 hours; no oil or gas leakage is allowed
Besides routine tests, prototype type tests are carried out on the first batch sample, including lightning impulse test, sudden short-circuit withstand test, temperature rise test and running noise test.
